HE DID, HE CAN, AND HE WILL DO IT AGAIN FOR US…EASTER 2021

April 4, 2021

Jesus is alive, He is Risen!  Alleluia…There is nothing more to be said.  The rest of this page can be blank.  This is His Easter, this is what He did for us.  In the midst of our Easter Celebration of the Eucharist, we are invited to renew our Baptismal Vows.  This wonderful interchange is to be done with a new conviction and new confidence.  Jesus longs for us to live with our hearts convinced of the resurrection, our Lent has led us to the sacred three days and now to this moment.  We are to take what we learned, what we sacrificed, what has transformed us, and place all of it into the words “I Do.”  Just as we are asked to state our belief in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we are also invited to embrace the Resurrection conviction of our hearts.  Did Jesus forgive sins?  YES HE DID, SO YES, HE CAN, SO YES HE WILL DO IT AGAIN FOR US.  Did he reveal Himself to Peter, James and John on the Mount of Transfiguration?  YES, HE DID.  SO YES HE CAN, SO YES HE WILL DO IT AGAIN FOR US.  Did He fight the devil in the desert? YES, HE DID, SO YES HE CAN, SO YES HE WILL DO IT AGAIN FOR US.  Did He bring new life to Lazarus and others?  YES HE DID, SO YES HE CAN, SO YES, HE WILL DO IT AGAIN FOR US.  Did He say He was the Bread of Life, the Light that dispels darkness and the Good Shepherd?   YES HE DID, SO YES, HE CAN, SO YES HE WANTS TO BE ALL OF THIS FOR US.

We stand in confidence this Easter because Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.  We stand convicted by our Baptismal promises to embrace the resurrected heart Jesus won for us. Confidence comes from trusting His truth, His way, and His life.

May this season of Easter find us believing that what He did, He will do again for us,

Happy Easter!
