A Note From Father Eickhoff

July 7, 2024

This month there are several events that will be occurring here at St. Anne Parish that you will want to keep in mind.

The first is the Catholic Man Night that will be held on Wednesday, July 17th from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. This event is open to all Catholic men from St. Anne and other parishes. The evening will feature time for prayer and confession, speakers, and dinner. As well as the fellowship that comes from being united in prayer and interest with other Catholics. Please check inside the bulletin for more information about the Catholic Man Night as well as how to register.

The St. Anne Religious Education Program is planning Vacation Bible School for July 22-25. Registration is currently underway for participants who will be entering Kindergarten through the fifth grade. Please check inside the bulletin for more information. We are also seeking adult and teen volunteers to help run VBS. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the parish RE office. As a quick aside, I am helping to plan the activities for the closing “water day” of VBS and I guarantee that the kids will love the games that I am designing.

Thirdly, the feast day of our patron saint, Anne the mother of Mary, is coming up on Friday, July 26th. There will be a special Mass of Thanksgiving at 7pm that day followed by a reception.

In addition, I need to point out that because of Catholic Man Night there will not be the normally scheduled Eucharistic Adoration or confessions on Wednesday, July 17th.

Finally, I want to update you on the progress of the 2024 Catholic Ministries Annual Appeal. Our current situation looks like this:

Goal Amount           $105,700

Amount Pledged     $112,597

Amount Paid           $90,875

Balance Due            $21,722

I am grateful to everyone who has contributed to the CMAA since we are on track to surpass our goal amount. You should know that once our parish has reached our goal amount that 70 percent of the over goal amount of money that is contributed is returned to St. Anne Parish. Also, once we have reached our goal amount I can stop talking and writing about the CMAA until next year.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Stephen Eickhoff
Pastor
