A Note From Father Eickhoff

April 7, 2024

Most of my readers likely do not know Jan Miriani, the longtime Business Manager of St. Anne Parish. She is not a person who seeks to draw attention to herself. However, she has been an integral part of St. Anne Parish for many years handling a great many of the behind-the-scenes activities without which this parish can not function. It is no exaggeration to say that Jan knows where every candle, box, book (the list goes on) is stored and kept in this parish. More important than that she has faithfully, and with dedication, managed the financial and practical aspects of the parish to this parish’s great benefit. This Easter was Jan’s last week in the parish. I want to thank her for her dedication to St. Anne Parish and to the Christian faith; and I ask that you keep her in your prayers for the success of her future endeavors.

With Jan’s departure two new persons have joined the St. Anne Parish staff. Maureen Kipfer has become the new Business Manager of St. Anne Parish, and Lori Sparkman is the new Administrative Assistant in the parish. Maureen will handle the financial management of the parish as well as other duties such as coordinating with the various contractors and vendors that St. Anne Parish employs and keeping the personal accounts of employees and volunteers of the parish. Lori will take over coordinating all the various ministries and committees in the parish by keeping the parish calendar, preparing the parish bulletin, and assigning rooms for meetings. She will also be managing the sacramental records, the parish registration records, and handling the initial requests for baptisms, weddings, and funerals. I encourage you to come by the office and meet the new staff and to pray for them to God for their success.

I also want to welcome a new ministry at the parish. Five men and women have volunteered to become sacristans of the parish. Their responsibility will be to open the church for daily Mass, setup for daily Mass, and put everything away afterwards. My thanks to them for stepping forward to help out the parish.

There will also be a change in the official parish working hours starting April 1st. The parish office will be open Monday-Thursday 8.30am to 4pm. On Friday the parish office will be open 8.30am to 12pm. These hours will be in effect year-round. Please note that the Religious Education office has different office hours depending on whether schools are in session or not.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Stephen Eickhoff
Pastor
