A Note From Father Eickhoff
October 16, 2022
The pig roast was an amazing success.
I was so glad to see the parish hall filled to capacity with parishioners enjoying themselves and taking the time to talk with their neighbors. I received numerous compliments about the food and the event just on Sunday afternoon. This event would not have been the success that it was without the help of a number of volunteers in the parish. There were volunteers who helped serve the food, volunteers who helped bus and clean tables, volunteers who prepared desserts, volunteers who set up the computer equipment to display the football game shown on the projector screens, and volunteers who helped organize all of the volunteers. To everyone who helped out I want to extend my thanks and appreciation.
This bulletin article is just filled with thanks since I am glad to report that St. Anne parish has passed a milestone this past week. The parish goal for the 2022 Catholic Ministries Annual Appeal is $113,500 dollars. We have now passed that goal. The money contributed to the Annual Appeal goes to support the many charitable and organizational ministries of the Diocese of Joliet. Now that we have reached our goal amount 70% of the money contributed from this point going forward comes back to St. Anne Parish. S o, I encourage you to continue to fulfill your pledge amounts as the money you donate goes not only to help fund the good works of the diocese, but also to our parish.
I will be on vacation this week. I will return voice messages and emails when I return.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Stephen Eickhoff
Pastor
