A Note From Father Eickhoff

June 23, 2024

This bulletin update will concentrate on upcoming events at St. Anne Parish during the month of July. There are three big events planned for the second half of July that you should be aware of.

The first is the Catholic Men’s Night which will be hosted by St. Anne Parish on Wednesday, July 17th. Catholic Men’s Night is sponsored by the Diocese of Joliet and provides an opportunity for Catholic Men to gather together for dinner, prayer, spiritual talks, and fellowship. This night is open to all Catholic men from any parish. You can find out more information by going online to menofchrist.net/Joliet.

The second big event will be Vacation Bible School (VBS) here at St. Anne Parish which will be held from July 22-25. Registration for participants will begin on July 1st. However, we are seeking volunteers to help out with the program right now. Adults and teens are welcome to volunteer to assist in the VBS program. If you would like more information about volunteer opportunities, please call 630-554-1425 or email reo@stanneparish. You can also check out the full page flyer in the bulletin for more information.

The third big event will be the celebration of the feast day of St. Anne, the mother of Mary. This feast day takes place on Friday, July 26th. We will celebrate with a special Mass of Thanksgiving at 7pm, followed by a reception. The feast day of a parish’s patron saint is always a big deal so I hope that you will be able to come out and thank God with your fellow parishioners for all the good things that God has done for our parish.

Finally, I want to thank the parishioners who were able to sign up to spend time with the Blessed Sacrament this past Friday and Saturday. Your dedication to prayer with the Lord is greatly appreciated as well as your ability to let your fellow parishioners know that when they came into the church to pray that they would find some of their fellow parishioners already in the church so that they would not be alone.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Stephen Eickhoff
Pastor
