A Note From Father Eickhoff
March 16, 2025
I would like to bring to your attention some of the upcoming events here at St. Anne Parish. All these activities can be of great help in furthering your Lenten preparations for Easter.
First off there is the importance of making a good confession during this Lenten Season. On Sunday, March 16th at 3pm there will be many priests coming to St. Anne to help hear confessions. There is no “reconciliation service” as such. Just come to the church and go to one of the priests who will be here to hear your confession. If you have not gone to confession in a while don’t worry. There will be handouts at the entrance to the church to help guide you along with making a good confession.
I should also point out that the Sacrament of Confession is available every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8pm and on Saturday afternoons from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
There will be a special Mass with the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick on Saturday, March 22nd at 11am here at St. Anne. This Mass is open to anyone suffering from acute or chronic illness or injury. During this Mass we will pray for healing in mind, body, and spirit. After the Mass there will be a luncheon in the Parish Hall. Caregivers and family are also invited. No reservations are necessary.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a great way to spend time with our Lord and also to pray to God for those things we truly need. Adoration is held on every Wednesday evening in the parish chapel from 7pm to 8pm and every Friday morning in the church from 8.30am to 9am.
There will also be a special 24 hours of adoration to be held on Friday, April 4th 12pm to Saturday, April 5th at 12pm. During these 24 hours the church will be open for all persons who wish to come and spend time with Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament. There will be a sign up located in the Narthex for people to commit to spending one hour with the Lord during these 24 hours. I encourage people to sign up so that there will be multiple people in the church at every hour. However, if you cannot commit to a full hour you are still welcome to come whenever and for as long as you can.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Stephen Eickhoff
Pastor
